Governance Bytes Series 2022
The Governance Bytes Series of workshops is one of the trainings we at LEAD are most excited to deliver. We share the facilitation role amongst the team with each of us delivering the subject matters we’re most passionate about.
The information, strategies and tactics we share come from many years working with mission focussed organisations. We understand the complexities and challenges that keep you up at night, and we also share in celebrating your wins.
Our 2022 series has been refined even further after reviewing the workshops we offered last year, to understand what topics offered the most value to our participants, in other words, what is it you as a leader in this space most want and need to know.
Participants from all over Aotearoa New Zealand, from all sorts of types of community organisations, have told us how valuable the sessions have been for them and they have particularly enjoyed virtually meeting others on Boards who are facing similar challenges.
LEAD’s Aly McNicol says the bite sized workshops are particularly useful for new Board members. “We know that the most effective Boards are those that keep learning, growing and stepping up in both governance and leadership,” she says. “I’d especially encourage Boards to make sure every new member of their team has access to these workshops in their first year of service to bring them up to speed quickly about what the role of governance really us.”
While LEAD will continue to offer some face-to-face workshops as and when COVID restrictions allow, these short, sessions work well online, especially for those time-poor leaders. As Garth Nowland-Foreman says, "I love the fact that all of our team put extra effort into keeping it interactive, which is how we all learn best - these are not just electronic lectures with Q+A."
Below is our schedule for the year. You can pick and mix by booking the sessions that most resonate with you, or book for the entire series and receive a 10% discount.
If you complete at least six sessions we’ll present you with a Certificate to proudly display as an outward sign of your commitment to the organisation and cause you care so deeply about.
