Governance Roundtables are a series of free, after-five events offering a deeper dive into non-profit governance topics. They are hosted by Business Trust Marlborough, facilitated by LEAD’s Garth Nowland-Foreman and served up with snacks.
This month’s topic: Strategy in the Real World
When it comes to organisational strategy, and especially the board's role, there is a lot of pretense and failing to call out 'the emperor with no clothes'. What on earth do we actually mean by 'strategy'? And is strategic planning even possible, or is it just a contradiction in terms? What in practice is realistic and possible, and especially for part-time, volunteer board members. We will offer some practical strategic tools that even small organisations can use to great effect.
Cost: Free (thanks to the generous support of Rātā Foundation), but you must register for each one as numbers are strictly limited.
